Some stolen signs of the city of Tulle reappear in Brittany

People from Brittany , Alsace , Savoy , the Basque Country met in Tulle in the centre of France in order to remove entrance to town signs and send them to their respective countries. Signs were displayed in Brittany on 30 June, 2015 in quiet gatherings.

BUGALED BREIZH LEAGUE SEND CORRESPONDENCE TO CORONER

The Celtic League has written to the Coroner for Cornwall following news that she may undertake an enquiry into the loss of the fishing vessel MFV Bugaled Breizh off the Lizard in January 2004.

The League enclosed information they believe may be helpful to the Coroner (see below);

ROYAL NAVY FINALLY RESPOND ON SUB/MFV SAFETY

The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence has responded to our query about adherence to IMO safety rules (relating to fishing trawlers) by Royal Navy submarines. However their reply leaves several questions unanswered.

We wrote to all NATO countries and the Russian Federation in January asking what steps they took to ensure submariners complied with IMO resolution A709 (17) and asked if specific training was given.

Kernow: Westminster Parliamentary Boundary matters - No to 'Devonwall'

Following a reminder, the Kernow Branch has received a reply to a letter sent to the Boundary Commission regarding the possibility of a cross border Westminster Constituency between Cornwall and Devon, England.

The advice from Cornwall’s MPs was to write to the Boundary Commission stating that the cross border constituency was very much a matter for that body.

Isle of Man: Local Girl Clinches Role in New British Folk Project

Local girl, Cinzia Yates, has recently secured the role of full-time research associate for an innovative project entitled Digital Folk.

It's a two-year AHRC-funded research project which examines the ways in which participants in folk art use digital resources. The project is led by Dr Simon Keegan-Phipps at the University of Sheffield, in collaboration with the University of Westminster and the English Folk Dance and Song Society.

KERNOW: MONARCHY ARROGANCE CAUSES CORNISH IRE

Many residents of Cornwall continue to receive official notices from the Duchy of Cornwall and the Land Registry informing them of applications by the Duchy to register mining and mineral rights.

The reason for this correspondence from both the Duchy and Land Registry is given as a change in the law.

A well known public face of Cornwall, Terry Bonney from Lanlivery, has sadly passed away aged 81 years.

Isle of Man: Galician Piper Receives Standing Ovation at the Centenary Centre in Peel

With the Anxo Lorenzo Trio waiting in the wings, first out on stage was local singer/songwriter Matt Creer, who gently cajoled the packed auditorium at the Centenary Centre with a selection of self-composed songs which reflected upon a number of diverse experiences.

His gentle demeanour masks a powerful creative force, which explored material from his latest album, The Leeward Tide, but also touched upon some of his earlier compositions.
