Hardly a day goes by on the Isle of Man without new charges or costs being laid off by Central government on the general populace.
Children now are charged to travel on school buses with similar charging mooted for pensioners. Tenants of social housing have seen their rents rise far above inflation. Private housing is to be ‘revalued’ as the Isle of Man government strives to come up with its version of the poll tax.
