The Celtic League has written to the Secretary General of the IMO urging the body to take urgent action to investigate a wide range of concerns raised by a series of articles published in the New York Times.

The articles cover all aspects of abuse at sea and most disturbingly also contain video footage of a number of men being murdered in the water.

Our report on the Intelligence Commissioners Report (IC) earlier this week in which we expressed some scepticism about how open to control and scrutiny the British Security Services are may have to be revised.

The IC had written, without any hint of irony or humour, about how MI5 had a number of warrants refused by NIO Secretary of State Theresa Villiers last year. This it was advanced was ‘oversight’ in action.

The Intelligence Services Commissioner says in his most recent report that the Northern Ireland Office and its Secretary, Theresa Villiers, take ‘great care when considering requests from the counter-terrorism agency’ for surveillance warrants. He also went on to assure that they are meticulous in establishing that any paperwork surrounding such applications ‘was in good order.’

NAMA: TANGLED WEB GETS MORE COMPLEX

Private investigators probing the NAMA (Ireland National Management Agency) scandal are said to have indentified several politicians from a number of political parties in Ireland who could be involved in the affair.

The issue surfaced following allegations in the Dail by independent TD Mick Wallace that an offshore account had been set up in the Isle of Man to channel £7 million to the politicians involved.

ADAMS DEATH THREAT MAN CHARGED

A former reservist with the British Army has been charged against the Sinn Fein Leader Gerry Adams.

Mr Adams a member of the Irish Parliament, the Dail, has a home in Belfast . It is understood that police were called to the home, approximately two months ago, after being told a bomb had been placed there. It turned out to be a hoax.
