'Frank' still can't officially have his name spelled using Breton

We reported over a year ago on the controversy of Fañch (Frank) Bernard and the unwillingness of the French State to allow his name to be registered with a tilde over the ñ.

The issue has now gone all the way to the French Senate and still the French government is digging its heels in.

Fañch will be out of nappies now but when it comes to accomodating the Breton and other minority languages within its borders the French State will always be in diapers it seems!
