British Labour Leader Starmer Adopts Blair's Policies and Blood Soaked Hands

British Labour Party Leader Keir Starmer has continued to adopt the ideas and policies of discredited ex-British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Blair is now mostly remembered for the way he deceived the cabinet (the collective decision-making body of  the UK government), parliament and the people, in his enthusiastic pursuit of the war on Iraq. A war that a post-war study estimated to have resulted in the death of about half a million people. This is why many continue to describe him as a war criminal who must answer for his actions. It is Iraq that dominates Blair's legacy in the mind of many people Not to be outdone Keir Starmer instructed Labour MP's to abstain from a Scottish National Party (SNP) inspired vote on 16th November in the British parliament for a ceasefire in Gaza. The Scottish SNP, and Alba parties voted for the ceasefire, as did Plaid Cymru the Party of Wales.

Even within his own Party many are increasingly critical on what is seen as Keir Starmer's morally bankrupt position on the Israeli governments massacre and programme of genocide in Gaza. Starmer's position on a humanitarian pause is not what is required. Even now aid agencies and charities on the ground in Gaza are pointing out that calls for an extension on the present pause is insufficient to meet the needs of people there. As Ireland's Government has already stated and the Celtic nationalist parties in Britain have demanded. There needs to be a permanent and sustainable ceasefire and the lifting of the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
