Barry Castle - Castell y Barri

Parts of the gate and hall are now all that remain of this site. Built in the thirteenth century this was a fortified manor house rather than castle with the gatehouse and hall added in the following century. It is located at Park Road in the town of Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales (Welsh: Y Barri, Bro Morgannwg, Cymru) southwest of Cardiff - Caerdydd..
