Welsh language will be the focus of a special event at the beginning of October with a Welsh in the Workplace Fair. This is Ceredigion’s first ‘Welsh in the Workplace’ Fair and the aim will be to encourage and support businesses who want to increase bilingual provision in their daily work. This is part of the work being undertaken by officers of Cered: Menter Iaith Ceredigion’s Welsh in the Workplace who are promoting and assisting businesses in the Mid Wales county of Ceredigion (Sir Ceredigion) to benefit from the use of Welsh in their business.

You'll get 'a trolley in the corridor' under Alf's plans for health

YOU’LL GET ‘A TROLLEY IN THE CORRIDOR’ UNDER ALFS PLANS FOR HEALTH

Well ‘stone the crows’ if it isn’t ‘fake news’:

Far from being in the red four months into the financial year the IOM Health Service is as usual underfunded.

Welsh government and Animal Rights bodies resist 'Badger cull' call

Efforts by Undeb Amaethwyr Cymru (the Farmers Union of Wales) to have a widespread badger cull in England extended to Wales are being resisted by the Welsh government and by animal rights bodies such as the RSPCA.

The FUW say:

"The Welsh cattle industry has simply had enough and the FUW is now calling on the Welsh Government to properly recognise the impact of this insidious disease on farming families.”

However the government say:

"Evidence shows that most causes of Bovine TB in cattle in Wales results from cattle-to-cattle transmission,"

Alf's 'grand designs' could be his Dunkirk!

I described Chris Thomas MHK as like a ‘machine gunner at Mons’ after his recent appearance in the portal. If he needed a number two ‘gunner’ it would be our own Private Pike, Alf Cannan MHK and Treasury Minister, who pops up in the portal to talk about his great vision:

It aims to pursue sustainable management of these natural resources. There has been a joint three year long campaign by  Animal Aid and the League Against Cruel Sports against National Resources Wales (NRW) leasing public land for shooting. They presented a 12,700 signature petition calling for an end to the practice.

Refugees families refused - Although the Isle of Bute coped admirably.

BBC Ellan Vannin - a page I don’t often visit because I forget it's there - reports on Chief Minister Howard Quayles rejection of Daphne Caine MHKs plea for the Manx government to reject accommodating refugee families from Syria.

eGaming Summit - God did his best but sadly it didn't work!

I’ve done my bit today for income distribution as (fortunately) following the storm the window cleaner came which was a godsend. My ‘home laundry’ is in full swing as well as I am defo into my ‘arts domestic’ autumnal period and the electricity thus consumed should please Popeye (aka Alex Allinson MHK).

A modest repast consumed I settle down for a second helping with MTTV which is still at the eGaming extravaganza. A took a sideswipe at the media's lack of balance in the Howard post earlier so just to prove there is balance MTTV are back with more of the same.
