Time Jane got a lesson - The Empire was built on exploitation and 'shorts'!

Yes he’s still about! Isle of Man Lt Gov. Sir Richard Gozney sitting up in Government House pocketing his £100,000 a year and getting the Harrods equivalent of the weekly food bank delivery paid for by us. Not to mention of course the gas bill - musn’t forget the gas bill although quite a few Manx people can forget using gas this winter given the price - which is sure to rise. Who said Empire is dead!

For once however Gozney can apply himself to some good work and perhaps invite that priggish Deputy High Bailiff Jane Hughes round. While helping him and Mrs G consume the weely red cross parcel he can school Jane in sartorial ethics particularly the efficacy of shorts. After all the British Empire was built of exploitation and ‘shorts’: (pic below).
