Newest Mebyon Kernow (MK) Councillor welcomed

At a 'virtual' meeting of Camborne Town Council in Kernow, MK's Ryan Congdon was co-opted onto the Council.

Ryan is a passionate Cornishman and we know that he will be a fantastic representative for Camborne.

He grew up in the town, went to Camborne School and secured a degree in politics from the University of Plymouth.

A community-minded individual, he has raised a significant amount of money for charity through long-distance cycling. These efforts included John O'Groats to Lands End (Bath Rugby Foundation) and Southampton to Truro (Bloodwise), both in 2013, plus Venice to Rome (Macmillan Cancer Support) in 2016.

He has been an active member of Mebyon Kernow - The Party for Cornwall for a number of years and he serves on the Party’s National Executive.

A keen sportsman, he has played for local football and cricket teams, and he is MK’s spokesman on sport."
