Boot gets 'barbecued

‘Baron Boot’ our Agriculture and Environment Minister is used to ‘dining al fresco’ with his barbecue apron and kit but in this interview (courtesy of Manx Radio) he gets a ‘roasting’ himself from an irate Manx ‘Green’.

After the summer barbecue affair the miniscule Minister proffered apologies all round. Quite the genial host I was quite swayed by his humility over the matter. However it seems after his recent climate change faux pas it will take more than a slightly overdone sausage or burger around the Boot ‘barbie’ to promote harmony with the Greens.

The interview suggests that Boots inertia may flood the Northern Plain - helped of course by the action of Messrs Trump and Xi Jinping and the insatiable appetite of their respective countries economies for fossil fuels. Best if Boot is in the frame to include the real villains!

An apposite quote from the great man - Antoine not Geoffrey:

“But if the sheep eats the flower, then for him it's as if, suddenly, all the stars went out. And that isn't important?”
