Chirk Castle - Castell y Waun

Chirk Castle (Welsh: Castell y Waun) is located in the town of Chirk, Wrexham County Borough, Wales (Welsh: Y Waun, Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam, Cymru). Constructed in the late thirteenth and early fourteenth century. It was refurbished in the late sixteenth century and rebuilt following damage in the English Civil War. Offa's Dyke runs through the park that surrounds the castle.
