I see the drones that Chris Thomas coordinate have suddenly come up with this:

For a moment I muse about having a look at the statistics but decide that at my age my blood pressure won’t stand it.

I decide to read Alice in Wonderland instead because I think in terms of veracity Lewis Carroll had more going for him than the ‘boys and girls’ on Prospect Hill.

Are we really so much better off I hadn’t noticed but maybe I haven’t been paying attention to the ‘Book of Statistics’ that Thomas gets all his wisdom from.

One thing for sure the Head will feature Thomas or such like spouting on about how it's all kosher etc. Maybe Hooper did have a point about the media after all!

I find myself thinking of Abraham Lincoln's quote about ‘the base alloy of hypocrisy’ and wondering if the new low inflation and the good things it portents will reduce food bank take up - I think not. However Chris and Co will still be smiling and talking - and talking, and talking - in a portal near you!
