Cornwall Council Election Results

News from Kernow Matters To Us:

The Conservatives won 46 out of the 122 seats, with the Liberal Democrats taking 37 seats, followed by 30 Independent councillors. Labour have five seats and Mebyon Kernow four.

The unitary authority's remaining 123rd seat, Bodmin St Petroc, will be contested at a later date.

Negotiations will now have to occur to form the Unitary administration.

Sincere congratulations to all those members of KMTU who stood for election and who were successful or otherwise at Cornwall and Town and Parish levels.

As Towns and Parishes grow in power and responsibility, the greater presence of really concerned and Cornu-centric Councillors is extremely important.

Continue to watch out for possible co-options as well!

Neighbourhood Plans are now growing across our Duchy!
