The Kernow Branch of the Celtic League has received a message of thanks from the mother at the centre of a dispute with her childrens’ school.

Anna James and her children hit the headlines a few weeks ago when she withdrew her children from Bishop Bronescombe Church of England School near Wadebridge in Cornwall, in order to attend the ancient ‘obby ‘oss’ celebration in Padstow, against the direction of the school’s head teacher.

The Manx Nationalist Party Mec Vannin held its Annual General Meeting on Monday the 11th of May 2015 at St Patricks Hall in Peel.

Minutes of the 2014 AGM were read and agreed and reports from Officers presented.

It was recorded that the Party had an active year with regular monthly meetings held and the usual participation in Annual events such as Tynwald Day and Illiam Dhone Day had gone of smoothly.

The Celtic League has written to the Manx Chief Minister (CM) asking if past protocol in respect of the establishment of British military forces in the Isle of Man, as laid down by the ‘Lord of Man’ many years ago, was adhered to prior to the decision to raise and station ‘reserve forces’ here.
