I’m in Alf country Michael tackling one of the offsprings bushes with a brush cutter. It soon becomes clear that my days of swaggering around river banks on the old Rivers and Bridges when my build was shall we say ‘lithe’ are a distant memory. To much time spent ‘putting the world to rights’ in the tavern..hmm!

Normally critical of Manx Radio (news) output I waxed lyrical yesterday about their ‘fact rich’ report on stress levels in the Health Service.

The Chief Minister Howard Quayle reckons his attendance at things like the Labour Party conference are important and of course - out of step with most people as usual Manx Radio News is they give him a seemingly endless platform to say so.

Given reports (see earlier post) about stress and pressure on other public sector workers maybe the Unions are finally waking from their slumber and might challenge the Chamber driven slave labour agenda of ‘ISLE OF MAN PLC’.

Credit where it's due! An excellent fact rich report her from Manx Radio on stress levels in the Isle of Man Health Service.

The figures show an alarming increase and one wonders why the issue has not been tackled.

I knew David when we were both shop stewards for the TGWU at the old Rivers and Bridges before he left to set up his business and I left to become full time official of the Union.

MTTV are talking to a very intense lady from the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (FSA) they are promoting something called ‘World Investor Week’. Manx news needs to be anything these days that takes people's minds of starving or fuel poverty and MTTV and Manx Radio are cornering the market:

Do we really want ‘a ghastly Chamber of Commerce inspired feudal Statelet where the wealth of the Isle of Man continues to be stolen from its people by a small coterie abled assisted by COMIN (Council of Ministers)!’

As the Mec Vannin yesterday evening meeting drew to a close after several hours ruminating over the machinations of the Quayle government and its ‘Chamber buddies’ the direction for nationalism was tabled.
