'Yes Kernow' in action - Innis Downs Interchange & Overbridge - Sunday 19th September, 2021

Kernow

20 Mis Gwyngala 2021

'Kernow Matters' (KMTU) has received the following release from the Cornish patriots of 'Yes Kernow' who have been very active throughout Cornwall this Summer drawing huge support.

One of our 'Kernow Matters' team happen to be driving west on the A30 at Innis Downs near Bodmin at the time and we attach a photograph taken from her car.

We thank our comrades at 'Yes Kernow' for their sterling efforts and also in further strengthening ties with Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Brittany with whom we share similar ambitions.

We understand it has become custom to display the National flags of these other Celtic Nations as a mark of solidarity with each other.

This is a truly magnificent demonstration of the common Celtic phrase "Six Nations, One Soul" with the six Nations being Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man and Brittany as recognised by the International Celtic Congress, the Celtic League, the Pan Celtic Music Association, the Pan Celtic Sports Association and others.

As news of Cornwall's latest crisis hits the media today, notably that of General Practitioners being unable to cope, we join with all Cornish groups and people in recognising that we need to pursue a different path from the fast failing Westminster one as we know that we can do better.

This feeling is increasingly held in the other, larger Celtic Nations.

We are pleased to note that 'All Under One Banner' is organising a march in October and are glad to encourage our members and others to attend.

'Yes Kernow' in action - Innis Downs Interchange & Overbridge - Sunday 19th September, 2021

'Yes Kernow' (YK) signs greeted motorists from whichever direction they passed over the A30 at Innis Downs on Sunday 19th September, 2021, with rows of Cornish Patriots from the 'YK' Team on the bridge over the A30.

With the A roads in the area busy - the A30, the A389, the A391 - motorists travelling from all directions were greeted by signage and Patriots with Cornish Flags, Welsh Flags, Breton Flags and Pan Celtic Flags.

'YK' are proud to display banners from the other Celtic Nations as they display ours in a demonstration of solidarity with the 'Yes' Movements in those Nations.

The support was substantial with passing and underpassing truckers, coaches, emergency services, farmers, cars and motorcycles sounding their horns in support.

The already large team was joined by others who had passed by and driven home to collect their Piran flags and returned in support.

Even a local Councillor stopped by and joined in the 'YK' Visibility Action (Vis Ac) which was run with absolute precision.

Motorists in passing cars towing caravans heading east together with Campervans took photographs and a number pulled over and were passed 'YK' handouts.

Following the Vis Ac, the scene was checked in case of litter and as usual, was left cleaner than arrival.

Patriots then attended a pub at Victoria for refreshments and sang Cornish songs, some in English, some in Cornish, and were again photographed and recorded not only by locals but by late season tourists.

'YK' have been appearing at high traffic areas throughout the Summer starting during the G7 Summit and appearing ever since.
