Vulnerability of French nuclear power stations to attack exposed by Greenpeace

Activists linked to the environmental campaign group Greenpeace France today gained entry into the nuclear power plant in Cattenom, Moselle, Lorriaine in the northeast of France. As reported in the Breton website 7seizh, the protest was designed to expose the vulnerability of EDF operated power plants in France to acts of terrorism and the catastrophic results that would follow. The action took place this morning (12th October) at 5:35 am. While EDF claims to secure the power stations, Greenpeace France's activists point to the lack of protection of the most fragile parts of installations. To emphasise the point the activists let off a large firework while in the facility.
