At the risk of sounding crude - It's time Howard 'kicked ass'

I’ve been having a customer experience with Manx Telecom - that’s what they call it these days when you ask a few questions.

It all started with their statement last week in the war of words with Sure Mobile (link):

I couldn't recall getting an MT missive from them when my contract expired. They tell me that it expired in 2017 and they sent a letter with the news and offers. I believe them of course but wonder how it passed me by. At my age I don’t get a lot of mail except the Courier and Manx Tails which go straight in the bin or a tax bill from someone called Nicola Guffogg. I’m bemused that the MT missive with its exciting offers escaped me. Anyway the good news is I can upgrade to a better deal for an extra £10. Why is it good news always comes at a price?

Meanwhile looking at Sure they seem to be offering a better deal so I suppose it’s choices. But who can you believe!

Where oh where is ‘the great man’ (Chief Minister Howard Quayle MHK) when you need him. Surely telecommunications and what ‘Wassername’ used to call mysteriously ‘the internet of things’ are vital to both community cohesion and economic expansion.

Why doesn’t Paul Moulton in his MTTV interviews asking Howard about this sort of thing instead of talking about death and reminiscing about their days together as thespians.

Howard said he is spending a working summer so I hope he jolly well gets his nose to the wheel. I think we are getting ripped off on this Island over Gas, Electricity, Water and Telecoms and its time that Howard got himself down to the OFT and (at the risk of being crude) ‘kicked ass’.

I’m not conned by this Julie Edge MHK Post Office consultation either this is just a cover for cutting services and staff taking an axe to the posties pensions and making us pay more.

We’ve had enough of ‘the Isle of Rip-Off’!
