Burglaries almost at level of "national crisis"
The current spate of house burglary on the Island is almost at a level of "national crisis".
That's the belief of a former policeman and previous chairman of Port Erin Commissioners, Ged Power.
Speaking on Sunday's "Present Poltics" programme Mr Power said the fact that those responsible for around 40 break-ins on the Island over the Christmas period and into the new year, and another six in recent weeks haven't been caught, has led to a real fear in the community.
