'Family Finace Day' on an Island where kids go to school without breakfast!

MTTV are talking to a very intense lady from the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (FSA) they are promoting something called ‘World Investor Week’. Manx news needs to be anything these days that takes people's minds of starving or fuel poverty and MTTV and Manx Radio are cornering the market:

The lady herself seems sound enough knows her stuff and rattles it of a bit like ‘the old Mons Machine Gunner’ Chris Thomas MHK. The only difference is she seems to know what she’s on about Chris seldom does.

They talk about scammers and Paul remarks it's moved on a trick since the days of the old Nigerian scam its more sophisticated avers ‘Finance Women’. You’re telling me it is! I get the impression periodically that some people on Prospect Hill are trying to scam me but its all above board because it's part of Alf Cannan’s redistribution of wealth policy i.e. he takes your savings in tax and he and Skelly distribute it to their Chamber chums not to mention some MHKS.

That reminds me remember that info we got a few years ago about which MHKs were benefiting from the public purse they never did publish that again. I muse I bet there will be a few MHK/MLCs at the Family Finance Day. I get carried away and wonder if our two resident top HNWIs, Shy Ronnie and the other one, will be their? Possibly not they probably keep all their billions in a Post Office account

Back at MTTV ‘Finance Woman’ is going on about ‘Family Finance Day’ that is kind of an esoteric concept for some families (but come on MTTV is in its surreal phase these days) as the main focus on finance for them is that it has run out before the end of the month.

Indeed all the indicators are (not just here but across the British Isles) that families are carrying a level of debt which is unprecedented. You would think that MTTV might go in search of that - but don’t hold your breath.

It rattles on but I’ve started to drift of, That's what happens when you are old and have been poking your brain into scandals for decades they suddenly come back to haunt like a bela lugosi movie. Wasn’t it the FSA that made a massive cock-up over the Scottish Power warranties mis-selling issue some years ago and attracted the ire of Westminster. I’m sure Adrian Darbyshire a journo of some renown did a lengthy piece on ot but unfortunately can’t retrieve it from the net

I decide that I’ll switch Moulton and ‘Finance Woman’ of there’s only so much you can take!
