Anglo-Saxons whip themselves into a state of hysteria over success of their football team

There are no Celtic teams competing in the finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the international association football (soccer) competition, currently taking place in Russia. For most of those living in the Celtic nations and who enjoy watching football, the tournament has provided an exciting spectacle. People may have their favourite teams, others just want to watch a good game of football and remain neutral as to the outcome.

However, many in the Celtic nations are watching the competition via English television broadcasters. Unfortunately, this also means having to experience the hysteria that is at present coming from the English media, as the England football team progress through the tournament. Most people just do their best to ignore this overdose of Anglo-Saxon frenzy. If the England team are playing well and deserve to win their matches, then good luck to them.

They have now reached the Quarterfinals of the World Cup and have done well to reach this stage. They now play against Sweden on Saturday 7th July. So just to give some counterbalance to the hysterical reporting coming from England - Best of Luck to Sweden.
