Lankidden Cliff Castle

Lankidden Cliff Castle

This is an Iron Age cliff castle on a headland about one and a half kilometres east of Kennack Sands. Also known as Carrick Luz it is west from Chynalls and Black Head. It can be reached by the coastal path from Kennack Sands or Coverack, or by footpath from Arrowan which is south from Ponsongath.

Our visit

We walked along the cliff walk southwest from Coverack. It was a lovely March day and the blue sea shimmered in the spring sunshine. We had savoured the views as we walked from Chynhalls Point. Stopping to admire the sight from Black Head and then on to Beagles Point and Kennack Sands. The path can be steep in parts as it rises from the seaside to the cliff tops. It was worth the effort and a really memorable walk with  stunning coastline views.
