The photographs below show a couple of brave protesters who went in to the building site during 18th March, 2021, while building was going on, to show what they thought about the utter desecration of this unique piece of landscape, a site that has been savagely cleared of the existing natural environment of a mixed and self-evolved ecology of mature trees, shrubs, plants, animals, birds and insects.
Cornwall Council Enforcement Team have intervened but the work continues and has shocked not only local residents but people from further afield.

The utter and unlawful destruction in advance of the G7 Summit has caused widespread anger and some folks who are resident in other G7 countries have written to their political leaders to flag the issue and we thank them for doing so.
You can follow the campaign to stop this criminal destruction via a special Facebook page which has been established here: https://www.facebook.com/carbisbaybeach
The page informs that there is to be a protest on the beach at Carbis on SATURDAY, 3 APRIL 2021 FROM 14:00 : https://www.facebook.com/events/484781189343269/
This destruction of our landscape was not what we were promised when the G7 Summit was announced and some people have been in tears when witnessing dead wildlife just cast to one side and mature trees hacked down. We wanted to project our Cornwall in a positive light and to promote the absolute importance of caring for our natural environment.
This does not bode well for our beloved Cornwall!
