Wicked Tinkers and BarleyJuice Headline California's Sonora Celtic Faire

Billing itself as America’s original Celtic Faire as featured on National Geographic Television, the 29th Annual Sonoma Celtic Faire features Scottish and Irish Clans, Scottish Dancers, Irish Step dancers,  Welsh Longbow Archery, a Celtic Food Court and Celtic Marketplace. The impressive gathering of Celtic musicians will be one of the highlights at this year's event, from high-energy Celtic rock bands to the most traditional of groups. With 20 musical groups, performing on five stages, the faire offers something to every age and ear!

The entertainment for the 2015 Festival with performances on 5 stages of Celtic Music features BarleyJuice, Wicked Tinkers, Black Brothers, Black Eyed Dempseys, Banshee in the Kitchen, Black Irish Band, and Cooking with Turf, Sequoia and Golden Bough.

Wicked Tinkers: Wicked Tinkers, along with Albannach and Brother, are prime examples of the increasingly popular Tribal Celtic musical movement. The Tinkers have been playing haunting, heart-pounding bagpipes and irresistible tribal drums as a professional touring band since 1995. With the addition, several years back, of the mesmerizing drone of the Australian didgeridoo and Bronze Age Irish horn, the magic was complete. Sit back and be transported to an earlier time in Scotland and Ireland, when battle cries filled the air and strange, unheard-of creatures roamed the night.

BarleyJuice: The raucous BarleyJuice give us the following from their webpage: Born of Rock and Roll, reared on the British Invasion, Country Western and Progressive Rock and landed somewhere in the North Channel with a penchant for all things Celtic. Band members Kyf, Swanny, Eric, Alice and Barnes welcome you to their playground of musical misbehaviour.  Kilts may be the preferred dress but the Pipes, Fiddle, Accordion, Mandolin, Bouzouki and drums....cover them nicely when they turn up naked.”
