Isle of Man: Barrule Launch Their Latest CD at the Centenary Centre in Peel

Fans of Manx trad power trio Barrule were out in force at the Centenary Centre in Peel to celebrate the Island launch of their latest CD Manannan's Cloak, a sequel to their award-winning eponymous debut album released in 2013.

It was a sell-out gig which attracted many fans who were already familiar with the trio's original style of music, which, along with other Manx singers and musicians, has pushed the Isle of Man into the spotlight in recent years.

Loch Ness (Scottish Gaelic: Loch Nis) is a freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands (Scottish Gaelic: A' Ghàidhealtachd). Renowned for its great beauty the Loch is a maximum of  twenty two and a half miles (36.2km) long with a maximum width of just over one and a half miles (2.7km).

The rivers Tarff, Coiltie, Moriston, Farigaig, Enrich, Foyers and Oich along with a number of burns flow into the loch which at its deepest is over 754 feet (230m). It holds about 16 million 430 thousand gallons of water and has just one outlet, the River Ness (Scottish Gaelic: Abhainn Nis), which flows down through the city of Inverness (Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Nis) in the northeast of Scotland and out into the Moray Firth which is an inlet of the North Sea.

The Manx Nationalist Party (Mec Vannin) has sent a strongly worded letter to both the Tynwald Ceremony Arrangements Committee (TCAC) and the Department of Infrastructure (DOI) voicing concerns at organisational changes planned for this years ceremony at the Tynwald Hill site at St Johns.

Protesters Demand More Powers For Wales

Demonstrators gathered in Cardiff on Saturday (4 April) to call for Wales to have the same powers as those of Scotland. The Home Rule Rally was organised by Yes cymru.
