The Westminster Government has agreed an historic ‘new deal’ for Cornwall which will give new control over services which are delivered in Cornwall.

Following much preparation and discussion between Cornwall Council and the Westminster Government over the so called ‘Case for Cornwall’, the matters to be devolved are to be formally announced during Thursday 16th July, 2015.

As it stands, the following are set to be included in the deal:

DAIL: MORE PRESSURE OVER NAMA AND MANX MYSTERY BANK ACCOUNT

As expected the NAMA affair once again surfaced in the Dáil today with sharp exchanges between Deputy Mick Wallace and the Taoiseach.

Wallace restated his position in relation to the £7 million pounds which dropped into a bank account in the Isle of Man and refuted rebuttals, by some outside the Dáil of the story, saying he was 100% certain of his facts.

Following allegations in the Dail that an account containing £7 million pounds was set up in the Isle of Man related to a NAMA deal the Celtic League has asked Treasury Minister Eddie Teare if safeguards and intelligence about banking activity in the Isle of Man is adequate.

The League has focused on the role of the FCU which apparently has a Financial Intelligence Unit.

NAMA MILLIONS CLAIM AND COUNTER CLAIM

The deposit of £7 million pounds from a NAMA deal in the North of Ireland continues to attract controversy with one of the key participants Belfast Solicitor. Ian Coulter, breaking his silence to deny some aspects of the story, however Mr Coulter falls short of explaining why the monies were transferred and which Bank in the Isle of Man facilitated the deal.
