It appears the UK media and political parties cannot miss an opportunity to attack or demonise Alex Salmond.

Despite the fact Salmond is one of those rare creatures in politicians ‘a man of principle’ (remember he stood down immediately after the narrow referendum defeat) and has moved on since passing the SNP ‘mantle’ to Nicola Sturgeon it appears his detractors cannot.

Secretary General Slams Schools Recruitment

The Secretary General of the Celtic League has written to the First Minister of Wales to express concern about military recruitment in schools.

The move comes as the Welsh Assembly plan to consider the issue.

Similar correspondence is to be targeted at leaders in the other Celtic countries.

Mann: What Are The MOD Paying DOI Asked

News from The Celtic League

The Celtic League have written to the DOI Director of Ports asking what monies are paid by the UK Ministry of Defence for the use by RAF training aircraft which use Ronaldsway regularly.

Hawk trainers from the RAF Valley base utilise the airport on a regular basis and additionally larger types such as Hercules transports have used the airport.

The training generally involves ‘non touch down’ approach and take-off techniques.

New Deepcut Inquest Will Last Several Weeks

The body of Private Cheryl James from Llangollen was exhumed last month ahead of a second inquest into her death and metallic fragments were removed for forensic examination. The exhumation took place at the family’s request

Pte James was one of a number or recruits who died in suspicious circumstances whilst undergoing initial training at Deepcut Army base. She was found with a bullet wound to her head in November 1995.

Her body was reburied after a short ceremony with the close family present.

Historic Saratoga Springs Hosts the 19th Annual Irish 2000 Music and Arts Festival
