Yn Chruinnaght was founded by Mona Douglas to provide a focus to the work that’s being done in Manx culture, the similarities with cultures in other places – and particularly in the countries with a Celtic language – and the traits by which Mann is unique.
The Manx Inter-Celtic Festival Yn Chruinnaght 2014 is being held on the Isle of Man (Mannin) from 16 - 20 July. It features performers from the Isle of Man, Brittany, Cornwall, Ireland, Scotland and Wales as well as exhibitions of Celtic knotwork design and locally produced crafts. Most of the events are being held in the town of Peel and a full programme can be seen on the Yn Chruinnaght website http://www.ynchruinnaght.com/whats-on/programme/
