Yet another 'smack in the chacks'* for ignorant Government Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, the 'Right Honourable' Sajid Javid!

'The Changing Room' led by Looe folks, Tanya Brittain and Sam Kelly (photographed below) are living proof of the growing popularity of the Cornish language which can be enjoyed by one and all, from wherever they come despite the best efforts of the Westminster regime to destroy it by unlawfully reneging on their agreement of 2002.

Sajid Javid, MP for some place called 'Bromsgrove' (?), who recently told the Cornish 'Some in Cornwall see their county (sic) as distinct from the rest of the region, a special case that should be handled separately from everywhere east of the Tamar' and continued 'to make a success of the South West, that whole attitude has to change' must feel like eating his words this evening as it is revealed that Cornish group 'The Changing Room' has had their beautiful Cornish language song 'Gwrello Glaw' (May It Rain) clear one million listens and downloads.

'The Changing Room' led by Looe folks, Tanya Brittain and Sam Kelly (photographed below) are living proof of the growing popularity of the Cornish language which can be enjoyed by one and all, from wherever they come.

Javid, whose family heritage is from Pakistan and who 'worked' in the highest levels of the banking industry, is now making a habit of insulting the Cornish. In praising Devon's UNESCO recognised world heritage status by saying 'that magnificent scenery may have secured Devon a place on UNESCO’s world heritage list', he conveniently brushed aside UNESCO recognition of Cornwall's mining heritage, the true reason for UNESCO recognition, and a heritage which goes back thousands of years.

Perhaps Mr Javid needs to remember that our Cornish ancestors, speaking - and singing- our Cornish language, were trading with the then known world and were at the centre of a prosperous and peaceful trading arc thousands of years before the creation of the modern United Kingdom founded in 1707 and indeed the Federal Islamic republic of Pakistan, founded in 1947 and even England, thrown together in around 927.

Perhaps Mr Javid would care to see his family's Pakistan de federalised or even subsume to control from India?

Javid's ill thought out nonsense has been widely condemned in Cornwall with the latest criticism coming from the widely respected Cornish Social and Economic Research Group (CoSERG), an independent research group concerned for the future of Cornwall and the Cornish people.

He's no longer welcomed in Cornwall BUT if he should venture over the Tamar, we should like to meet him face to face and to point out the error of his ways.

Meanwhile Keslowena (Congratulations) to the wonderful 'The Changing Room', great ambassadors for Cornish music and language, culture and yes, Mr Javid, difference!
