Steady Rise in Support for Yes Vote on Scottish Independence

As reported in the Scotsman newspaper a poll has put the support for Scottish independence at its highest level for six months. The question was asked how they would vote if the referendum was held today: 39.3 percent said Yes and 47.6 percent No, 13.1 per cent of those asked were undecided. Meanwhile the Scottish National Party is over 10 percent ahead of Labour, its nearest rival, when participants were asked about voting intentions for the next Scottish Parliamentary election.

With six months remaining until the independence referendum this latest poll has come on the back of a sustained campaign by pro-union supporters to scare voters away from a Yes to independence vote. Perhaps this is why the national media in Britain has been so careful to leave these latest poll findings unreported!
