The Festival organiser avers the Festival goes from strength to strength and there is a plethora of quick pans of those present. It’s not exactly the ‘Palme D’or’ packed to the gunnels but what the hell everyone seems to be enjoying themselves - with the exception of Chris Thomas MHK who seems a bit stiff. There are probably not enough statistics for Chris but no doubt he enjoyed reading the programme later twenty times and committing it to memory.
The theme of the Festival is Kubrick's ‘2001 A Space Odyssey’ its an iconic film although it doesn’t press any buttons for me - my taste in movies is defo not space orientated I’m much more catholic in my interests. Still there is no doubt it should be a draw and good publicity which makes the decision of Isle of Man Post to do a philatelic run of stamps a sharp move - well done Julie Edge MHK and the boys and girls at PO HQ at the Cooil! Good on them that should boost funds.
The Paul piece ends with organiser man urging people to bite the bullet and get involved so go on fill that room a bit more next year. Oh and by the way order a set of those stamps!
