'The Nations Station' or a magnet for business riff-raff?

Unusually ‘the Nations Station’ has a nationalist viewpoint today ( see earlier post) something that is strangely rarely portrayed on ‘the National’ broadcaster. I mean don’t believe my expression of fake news do a search on the Stations website.

Indeed on the odd occasion I tune in on the car radio the station is more like a audio manifestation of ‘Little England’ than something that has pride in its Manx roots.

There is however nothing new about this. With the exception of Illiam Dhone commemorations which usefully for the media takes place in the dead news period after Xmas nationalist outings are very rare. I’m nothing to do with the Dhone commemoration now having muted my oratory last year but were I to be involved again I would certainly have no hesitation in telling Manx to ‘stick its mic where the sun doesn’t shine’.

The station of course would aver this paucity of nationalist views is because nationalists don’t push out very much in the way of press comment. However that hardly stands as a relevant argument given they have no difficulty in actively seeking the views of all manner of business riff-raff and other oddities on all manner of subjects. The contempt for the general population is stunning as we are bombarded by the views of the Chamber and their fellow travellers virtually daily not forgetting of course the puerile and increasingly fanciful ravings of the likes of Chris Thomas MHK. Mind you I forgot Chris is a Minister so he can aver anything on the air waves no matter how stupid while a radio presenter will nod along like one of those things people stick on the back windows of their cars.

The good thing about this - if it is good - is that nationalists young and old feel marginalised in their own land and as we know when this has happened in the past it can lead who knows where.

So keep up the good work Manx Radio you are pretty useless but your perverse policies could yet create a dividend through popular expression by the indigenous population.
