Military Cadets: Abuse Goes on as Child Commissioners Mark Time

NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE

The Children’s Commissioner for Wales (CCW) has acknowledged concerns communicated to their Office in the past two months by the Celtic League outlining issues with military cadet forces.

Similar letters were sent to child welfare bodies in the other Celtic countries (see link):

The CCW have simply acknowledged that they ‘note’ the concerns and in this respect they parallel comments from the Children’s Commissioner for Scotland which said:

‘The Commissioner has asked me to thank you again for sending the information about military cadet forces and to tell you that he has noted your comments with interest.’

However whilst Children’s agencies ‘sit on their thumbs’ abuse issues continue to arise the latest in Scotland (see link):

Meanwhile the League still awaits a response from the Ministry of Defence over the extent of hush-money it has paid out (see link):
