Manx Government's Three Point Scam!

NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE

The Isle of Man Government AGENDA FOR CHANGE has got a three point plan:

1) Balance the budget
2) Protect the vulnerable
3) Grow the economy

The plan was cited to us by OFT when they responded to our concerns over the hike in Gas prices they said:

“One of the three key priorities of the current administration is to “Protect the Vulnerable” and the Council of Ministers and all Departments and Statutory Boards have this high on their agendas.”

Only they don’t because the three point plan is actually a ‘THREE POINT SCAM’ being perpetrated on the public by this, the most arrogant and selfish Tynwald in living memory.

BALANCE THE BUDGET: This is to be done on the backs of the very lowest income groups. Low and middle income groups face tax hikes and stealth charges which have come with unceasing rapidity and will continue. This budget is being balanced all right but it is being balanced on the back of those least able to pay with the Treasury Minister openly admitting he is not going to look at other taxation options. The upper income echelon is off limits.

PROTECT THE VULNERABLE: Benefit claimants have been demonised and had pitifully low benefits cut. Disabled people have been reassessed so as to deny them benefit payments, pensioners are being targeted even hospital occupancy is being cut back not because of bed blocking but to force people into private nursing care where they will have to pay. A lifetime of National Insurance contributions means nothing as this government cuts like a sword through the welfare state.

GROW THE ECONOMY: It sounds a laudable objective but what it means in reality is the millions that you already give as subsidies to all manner of businesses are to be further bolstered. A £50 million pound tranche of your reserves – public money – is to be ‘dished out like lottery wins’ to governments chums in the business community.

Don’t be fooled by this £50 million either because if this, increasingly desperate, government gets way with raiding the reserves once it will do it again!

So there you have it! It’s not a three point plan IT’S A THREE POINT SCAM.

It’s a dishonest scheme to hoodwink the public into believing that the government can resolve our ills by balancing the expenditure budget that it expanded, protect people when in fact government is currently the biggest threat to them and achieve growth by giving away YOUR MONEY.

Rascals are to kind a word for them!
