Isle of Man TT 2020 goes digital

In normal times the most famous motorcycle race meeting in the world, the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, would have been about to begin. However, as we are only to well aware, we in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. As a result the Council of Ministers, which is the highest level decision making body within the Isle of Man Government, had some time ago taken the decision to cancel the 2020 Isle of Man TT Races which were due to take place between 30th May and 13th June. 

This remarkable sporting event has been an established part of the calendar of this Celtic island located in the middle of the Irish Sea for many years. The International Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) Race was first held on the Island in 1907. The Snaefell  Mountain Course was first used in 1911. The 37¾ mile course rises to 1,385ft (422 metres) above sea level at its highest level. 

Although this year the bikes will not be racing around the course. TT fans can still access 8 evenings of digital content. Streamed from Saturday 6th to Saturday 13th June, via the Official TT website iomttraces.com, Facebook page and YouTube channel. It is called ‘TT Lock-In.'
