Flanagan: New Chapter in Scottish Irish Relations
NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE
Irelands Minister for Foreign Affairs, Charles Flanagan, TD, will outline a ‘new chapter’ in Scottish-Irish relations when he visits Edinburgh later this week.
Mr., Flanagan will be speaking about ‘the relationship between Ireland and Scotland’ at the European Centre for Carbon Innovation of Thursday, February 5th. After his speech he will take questions from those attending the meeting.
A spokesperson for the Irish Consulate in Scotland said that Mr. Flanagan’s speech will also cover the “evolving nature of wider British-Irish relations and the relations between these islands and the European Union” and takes place following the publication of Ireland’s Foreign Policy Review – ‘The Global Island’.
The Ministers visit has been organised by the Irish Consulate, the Europa Institute and the University of Edinburgh.
