Search For Marylin Munroe's Scottish Ancestors

Marilyn Monroe (June 1, 1926 - August 5, 1962) was an American actress and model. She died at the age of 36 at her home in Los Angeles on August 5, 1962. Although the death was ruled a probable suicide, a number of conspiracy theories have been suggested in the decades since her death. Had she lived she would now have reached her 90th birthday. However, she continues to be considered a major American popular culture icon and remarkably her stardom has not only survived but escalated since her death.

Newgrange Reveals The Ancient Bond Between Dogs and Humans

The prehistoric monument of Newgrange (Irish: Sí an Bhrú) in County Meath, Ireland, was built during the Neolithic period around 3000 BC to 2500 BC. Making it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. Regarded as a place of great ceremonial and religious significance, it is aligned in a way that allows the light from the rising sun to shine directly into the chamber on the winter solstice.

How Long Can We Afford this 'Madness'

News from the Celtic League:

Maintaining a Lt Governor in a time of austerity is outrageous as I explain in this item on Manx Radio.

By the way my maths were ‘slightly’ out as it is probably £10/12 thousand a month more than the figure I cite! Makes you wonder how long this madness can continue:

Here’s the story with a clip at the link I presume the full interview may be (have been) used of Mandate:

Celtic Countries: Our Stolen Treasures

News From The Celtic League:

I wrote yesterday about the Chronicles of Man and that provoked several queries from Celtic League followers in Wales, Ireland and Scotland seeking more details.

The question of Celtic artefacts held in institutions primarily in the South East of England (London) area has long been contentious. To add insult to injury often these artefacts whose provenance to the institutions in question is questionable are loaned back to the countries from which they were removed.

Isle of Man: Tallis Consort Spring Concert in Ramsey

The first of their two spring concerts was held in St Paul's Church in Ramsey, where an attentive audience enjoyed an extensive programme involving a range of choral pieces.

Members of the acapella choir were challenged by a diverse collection of work, created by a wide selection of composers from the fifteenth to the twentieth century.

By concentrating on such a variety of early music, Tallis Consort brought a wealth of rich resource to its Island audiences through their occasional concerts at selected venues.

Cornish And The Other Celtic Languages

There are many forms of heritage, built and spoken amongst them.

That's why we are promoting the importance of Cornish language which the Westminster Government is trying to destroy by unlawfully breaching the charter agreement signed in 2002 and deliberately holding from us £150,000 of OUR tax money intended for language development.
