Young New Zealand musician seeks Celtic connections and Scotland welcomes Jake Cropley

As reported in the New Zealand newspaper The Ortago Times: 'Jake Cropley has no Celtic ancestry, but that is not stopping the 18-year-old from helping New Zealand forge stronger cultural links with Scotland.

The Dunedin singer/songwriter jets off to Glasgow and Edinburgh today for six days to perform at the prestigious Celtic Connections Music Festival and Neu Reekie Burns On Fire event'

Celtic Connections website will give you details of their events and as they point out: 'Glasgow’s annual folk, roots and world music festival, Celtic Connections celebrates Celtic music and its connections to cultures across the globe. From 15 January – 1 February 2015, 2,100 musicians from around the world will descend on Glasgow and bring the city to life for 18 days of concerts, ceilidhs, talks, art exhibitions, workshops, and free events.'
