Saving Scottish Gaelic- Adults are the key

Moray Language Centre are holding a meeting on December 4th at 7.30pm at the Gabarfeidh Hotel in the town of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It will be in regard to the Isle Of Lewis Gaelic Initiative. The main topic of the meeting is to spread the message to Gaelic speakers and learners that “adults rather than children are the key to saving Gaelic”. The meeting will encourage bringing Gaelic into the home as quickly as possible. Parents, grandparents, friends, relations and anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend.

Discussion will take place regarding Parenthood Courses, Gaelic In The Home Courses and Action and Activity Projects, as well as how to set about revitalising Gaelic communities. This is designed to raise the profile and help secure the Gaelic language and culture for the coming generations.
