News from International Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) Race

The International Isle of Man TT continues. Today (5th June) Michael Dunlop, from Ballymoney in Ireland rode his MD Racing Carl Cox Yamaha to his 14th TT victory when he won the Supersport TT Race 1.  James Hillier came in second on the JG Speedfit Kawasaki with Peter Hickman securing third place riding the Smiths Trooper Triumph. 

In the first sidecar race of the week, former world champions Ben and Tom Birchall achieved their fifth TT win. In doing so they set a lap record on their second lap of the race of 117.12mph, finishing 25.669 seconds ahead of John Holden and Lee Cain. Manx pair of Dave Molyneux and Daniel Sayle came in third. This was after Daniel Sayle sustained an injury resulting in two suspected broken ribs on the opening lap.
