Nations seek to control their own destinies

Yn Commeeys Celtiagh - Celtic News Mannin point out that it is not only Catalonia that will be voting for self determination in the next two weeks but also Iraqi Kurdistan. Both represent wider global movements where men and women are seeking the right to determine their own future and not be controlled by other states:

SUBORN YOUR RIGHTS TO OTHERS OR LIVE AS FREE MEN

A week tomorrow the Catalan government will hold a referendum on independence a move which is already being violently opposed by the Spanish State using its paramilitary Guardia Civil - Federal Police.

The Celtic League following an executive decision endorsed by this years AGM will have an observer in Barcelona on polling day.

Also this week and so far less publicised the Kurdish area of what was Iraq votes on self determination and the final step to independence.

These moves are part of a wider global movement where people whose rights are suborned or controlled by others are taking their fate in their own hands.
