Fèis Cheilteach Innse Gall 2014. Hebridean Celtic Festival 2014 Announce Growing Line-Up of Artists

The Hebcelt Festival for 2014 continues to grow from strength to strength. Announcing an impressive and growing line-up of artists, this year’s festival promises to build on past successes. The festival takes place on 16-19 July in a number of venues in the town of Stornoway, Lewis, Outer Hebrides (Scottish Gaelic: Steòrnabhagh, Leòdhas, Na h-Eileanan Siar).

The location of this festival has to be one of the most beautiful of any festival in the world. The Scottish Western Isles of the Outer Hebrides are an island chain of 15 inhabited and more than 50 uninhabited islands. These islands have a rich Gaelic heritage and culture and the festival is set against the backdrop of the island of Lewis. Details of the Hebcelt Festival and travel arrangements can be obtained on their website.

Included in the festival is the Gaelic Showcase which brings together traditional talent and emerging artists. There is also a gathering of artists presenting music that encompasses Celtic cultures with a mixture of contemporary influences. If you have the opportunity this is a festival that is well worth attending and the Hebrides are a beautiful place to visit.
