English People Living in Scotland Campaign for Yes Vote

Yesterday a group was launched by English people living and working in Scotland who are in favour of Scottish independence. The group is called-English Scots for Yes. This is part of a growing movement of people of English descent who support an independent Scotland. This all comes despite a campaign of misinformation from the British press which has spent months trying to foster divisions between those born in and outside of Scotland. The Scottish National Party has condemned this media campaign and welcomes the support for independence that comes from people who have now made Scotland their home.

There are more than 400,000 English people living and working in Scotland. Many now support Scotland’s independence and this grassroots group-English Scots for Yes will be actively campaigning for a Yes vote between now and the referendum on September 18.
