Cowethas an Yeth Kernewek Cambron (The Camborne Cornish Language Fellowship) will be starting new Cornish language classes

From 12th September Cowethas an Yeth Kernewek Cambron, (The Camborne Cornish Language Fellowship) will be starting new Cornish language classes.  As well as a group for absolute beginners there will be an intermediate group. The Fellowship's aim is to improve the knowledge of Cornish but classes are structured in such a way that students can attempt exams if they so wish. The Fellowship will also be continuing with a special course for people who have learnt the language to a good level in the past (even several years ago) and who would now like to revive and re-invigorate their knowledge and skills.  This includes conversational Cornish, normally on topical issues, the study of Cornish literature as an aid to revising some grammar and a look at recent advances in Cornish, but it also takes into account individual students' interests. This is a continuation of the successful course that was run in the last academic year.

The Fellowship are meeting on 29th August at the chapel rooms for a pre-classes publicity meeting.

Classes are held in the hall behind Centenary Church in Camborne from 7 - 8.30pm on Thursdays and will start again on Thursday September 12th.  To learn more contact Ray Chubb on 01209 842394 or Pat Parry on 01209 215917 - or just turn up on the first evening.  Everyone is very welcome.
