Côr Dre Celebrate "Best Choir of the Festival" For Wales at 2015 Pan-Celtic Festival

Côr Dre have been crowned "Best Choir of the Festival" at the 2015 Pan-Celtic Festival held in the city of Derry in the north of Ireland last week.  The young Welsh mixed choir joined with choirs from all of the six Celtic nations of Brittany (Breizh), Cornwall (Kernow), Ireland (Éire), Isle of Man (Mannin), Scotland (Alba) and Wales (Cymru) and went on to secure the title. 

The Pan-Celtic Festival has been held every year since 1971 and promotes Celtic culture. This years event was praised for the quality of song and dance from all of the Celtic nations. It also brought success for the Cornish band The Changing Room who won the Pan Celtic Song Contest with the song “Hal an Tow”.
