Alba: Salmond Flicks Off RT Interview Critics

NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE

It appears the UK media and political parties cannot miss an opportunity to attack or demonise Alex Salmond.

Despite the fact Salmond is one of those rare creatures in politicians ‘a man of principle’ (remember he stood down immediately after the narrow referendum defeat) and has moved on since passing the SNP ‘mantle’ to Nicola Sturgeon it appears his detractors cannot.

Salmond’s latest ‘crime’ it seems is to do an interview with TV channel Russia Today described by Salmond’s critic as a ‘mouthpiece for Putin’. Now many people who will have followed the BBC’s slanted coverage of the referendum and the inherent anti-independence spin it put on almost all its news reporting will find that pretty rich!

Anyway Salmond as always the master orator gave this riposte to one of the most outspoken of his political critics, Murdo Fraser, saying:

“I appear on many television stations internationally, as does every other politician I know, of every party.

“Murdo Fraser’s problem is that he doesn’t seem to get invited.

“It’s a daft comment, even by Murdo’s standards.”

Anyway a report here from the Scotsman – with a health warning the Scotsman is about as objective in reporting Salmond and Scottish nationalism as the BBC is!
